According to the latest reports, the iPhone 3G is all set to hit the Indian stores by 22nd August, 2008. So, all you iPhone wannabes who wanna get their hands on a shiny piece of iPhone, get ready to switch providers or move to a postpaid plan if you are already with Airtel or Vodafone. The launch date is the same with both the carriers/providers.

But, the iPhone in India may not be subsidised as it is in the US based on the plan you are purchasing there (AT&T offers iPhones with a minimum two year contract).

Although neither of the two providers divulged any price details, if it is launched without any subsidies, it is most likely to be launched with a full fare tag that should be around $499 or Rs 20,000.

So, let’s just wait and watch
