The Dark Knight: Records Broken, History in The Making
Good or Bad You Say? Rate It
Why So Serious? That is what the joker would have said. But That’s something we must not heed to when the collections of The Dark Knight are concerned.
Batman’s latest outing, The Dark Knight, has definitely broken records and is on track to making history. Well, for me, the latest Batman is highly anticipated and that the Late Mr. Ledger has performed exceptionally as the Joker is an added bonus. To take the mantle of the Joker from Jack Nicholson is really a great feat. I must commend Ledger for doing so brilliantly. Had he been with us, it would have been a great honour for all of us.
There is talk of Ledger being posthumously awarded the Academy Award. I pray to God he gets it. It is really deserving for him.
As for the Batman, none better to play the part than Christian Bale. I mean, the man has brought a sense of chill to the character. He has made the Bat more difficult to confront. Even for the most sinister of his enemies. He has shown that the Bat is none to be messed with and that he ain’t taking this lying down.
I am a big fan of his ever since I saw Batman Begins. He is the most substantial, character defining Bat ever since Micheal Keaton donned the black suit (Oh Yea! I love Keaton’s version of Batman too. He is fantastic).
Christopher Nolan has done a brilliant take on an original which we thought was one of the best since Spider-Man.
So, keep them coming you people. This new Batman team is certainly one of the best assembled yet. They are out there to create history and we love each and every moment of it. We want more. Keep them coming our way, and don’t worry about overkill. We can live with that, I promise.
