New WordPress/Extend/Themes Directory Launched

Well, as many of you know, the good folks at WordPress have finally launched a new section for new themes which are compatible with WordPress 2.x.

It must be mentioned that WordPress had stopped accepting new themes on the previous Themes repository located at WordPress.net. This had forced themes developers to distribute their respective themes only from their own sites which had made it difficult for blog owners (like me) to find themes compatible with the latest version of WordPress. This is now solved as all those developers can now upload their themes to the new repository.

The new themes directory is in the same hierarchy which was being used for the WordPress plugins.
