Well, a band of former Google executives have put together a cuil (pronounced ‘COOL’ ) search engine. Or atleast that’s what they have thought of it themselves.

So, what does it have for us? Well, we have to test the results from this new search engine and check it out. I might test it for a couple of days from now and then match the results to that from Google’s own engine. Well, it’s time we witness some hearty competition on Search. With Microsoft’s Live Search (or MSN search or whatever they might call it) proving to be a dud. I know I don’t use it. Period. Yahoo! Search is a lot more better than it. And for the record, I must say that in some search comparisons with Google, I found Yahoo! outperforming Google. By this I mean to say that Yahoo! returned a better match for what I had queried for. Google on the other hand was not that good in serving me what I wanted. It was like ordering a Pepperoni Pizza with mushrooms and getting served Chicken Pizza with mushrooms! See what I mean?

Well, which search engine to use is for you all to decide. But, I must ask you all to give Cuil a try. Who knows? Maybe it’s gonna give a ‘Cuil’-er result than Google or even Yahoo! Maybe, this time we can order a Pepperoni Pizza and expect to get more. Like a Pepperoni Pizza with a double cheese topping. What say?
