I have been really busy since returning to office this week. Back from my holidays, back from the trip to Abha and back to work.

It is quite a task of returning to office after your holidays. All the work just keeps piling up mind you! It never stops dropping in on your desk at all. Nope. No holidays for work. Only you are on a holiday. Well, it sure is like this.

Tell me honestly. Have you ever met work while you are taking a walk on the road to the nearby park? Did you ever see him go by while you are relaxing at the beach? You haven’t have you? Well, all the time while you were enjoying yourself at the local discotheque, work was working hard 24 hours a day to get you busy as soon as you set foot in that office!

That’s the job of work after all isn’t it? So, there you have it. A great buddy to keep us company while we are away from home and our wife & kids (if you happen to be married) and sitting in the office. So, you would be all alone and getting wasted if it wasn’t for our friendly neighborhood superfriend, WORK.

Notice how he lend us a hand and keeps us busy with it. How it lets you decide for things that belong to it. Lets you take the credit of success that you achieve for it (and blame if you messed up). How transparent it really is. Sacrificing its own interests and letting you gain all the respect and credibility for things that belong to it.

That’s what work is. Keeps your mind sharp enough to keep the dementia at bay for atleast another couple of decades or so.

Be grateful to work. Naa. I can’t be. It’s the only thing not just me but anybody can do. Nobody can be ever so grateful to work at all.

So, there we have it. Work. In all it’s glory. All around us. :-)
