INDIAN FLAG

So, this is it. Today is the day. Today is 15th August and it is the day that one of the largest democracies in the world came into being. So, wishing every Indian and every citizen of the world a very Happy Independence Day. The day we Indians announced to the World about our arrival.

Our fathers have fought hard to gain independence from Britain and we should never forget all those sacrifices made by them in achieving our freedom. As I write this, I remember a very touchy scene from the movie “Bicentennial Man” starring Robin Williams. It’s the scene where Robin (who plays an android in the movie) approaches his master (Sam O’Neill) and hands him a check for all the savings he ever made, which surprises Sam. He then states the reason that “I read books and literature and I found this thing called Freedom that has inspired man to give up everything he has in order to achieve it. I am giving you all my savings in return for my Freedom”. This was one of the most inspiring scenes of the movie.

To think that even an android understands the meaning of freedom after he sees all through history people around the world fought and struggled for their freedom.

Keeping this in mind guys, do not forget what your ancestors have done for you and work hard to achieve their dreams.

HAPPY INDIAN INDEPENDENCE DAY TO ALL INDIANS IN PARTICULAR AND EVERYBODY ELSE IN GENERAL.
