India beat England yesterday by nine runs in a racy ODI which was poised to go either way to level the series 1-1. India’s efforts were put together by excellent innings from Sachin (99) who missed his century by a run, Rahul (92), Yuvraj (49) who missed his half century and Sourav (39).

Chasing a massive target of 330 (India closed their innings with 329 for 7) runs, the England team made only 320 for 7, allowing India a narrow victory of 9 runs.
