Ok guys and gals, it seems Google is on a rampage and my blog is turning out to be one where I am mentioning Google in just about all of my new posts! Funny isn’t it? Well it seems Google has purchased Feedburner (View the statement on Feedburner’s website here).
Yeah, I was a little surprised about this as it came almost unexpectedly. I am excited about it though. It provides us with a lot of opportunities and integration of Feedburner with Google will provide stability and security to the subscribers/publishers of Feedburner. I am myself a Feedburner publisher and I am happy about this deal. What is not clear right now is: how will Google integrate Feedburner into it’s existing portfolio of offerings?
Well as of today, Feedburner are offering publishers until June 15th, 2007 to opt out if they want to before their accounts are integrated with Google.
As for me, I prefer to wait and watch rather than jump the gun.
