Fight Splogs, reclaim your life (and your blog)

I think in my previous article I have discussed what these things called Splogs really are (eewww!). I also provided you some references from another blogger called Lorelle who has been writing on this subject and has apparently done a little more research on it. Well to continue further from where I left off in the last article on this subject, I must quote an episode of Friends that I saw yesterday.
In this episode, Monica (Gellar) has her credit card stolen and finds that the woman who stole her credit card is doing exactly what she (Monica) had always wanted to do in the first place. Further on, in the episode Monica happens to meet the woman (by tracking her to the dance classes) and then forms a strange friendship with the thief.
Now, I needn’t explain to you about what is happening here and who is who with regards to the Blogging world. But I might as well explain for the sake of people who didn’t get it.
Ok, see Monica here is the blogging community which has had it’s content (instead of the credit card) stolen. The thief here are splogs (e.g., www.Bitacle.org). Now what I want to impress upon you all is that if we don’t unite in the fight against these “splogs” or “slogs” today, we might as well have to join forces with them resigned to the fact that they steal our traffic! Our sites might as well be dead (and remain so!). What’s the point of blogging then? You might as well work for these splogs than to run your own blogs.
Another thing that I wanted to imply vis-a-vis the “Friends” example is that the thief was the one doing the things that Monica wanted to do but was not able to. But we are able enough to do what we really want! If you want to put up ads on your blogs (which will bring in cash), then just go ahead and do it. People who read your blogs might as well bear some ads if you are worth the trouble. I mean, I have visited blogs of people loaded with ads just because they were good. I didn’t feel like anything. A man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do.
So people with blogs, (big or small) which have traffic or not, I urge you to start writing articles on splogs and spread the awareness on this menace. We must show them that we can put up a fight! A fight that might as well cost them their money, if that’s what they want (by not stopping on stealing contents from various blogs).
Start right away and make sure that you see these articles by Lorelle. I will let the pro explain things which are important for all of us.
After reviewing and reading the articles, I urge you to do the right thing and take the fight to those sploggers! We have to win the war no matter what. Fullstop. Nothing else matters here.
