This weekend (that would be Thursday and Friday in this part of the world) I happened to visit the holy city of Madinah (in Saudi Arabia) and guess what? I was really taken aback by the incredibly hot weather. Must have been over 48C (about 115-120F). I was really dehydrated. Even though I drank a lot of water, but it never seemed to quench my thirst. Except it just added to the amount of water already present in my tummy! And due to the hot winds, I received sun-burns on my face in general and lips in particular. Never experienced such heat before. Heat’s apart, the trip was fantastic. We had everybody moving around and most importantly, we got to pray about 5 prayers at The Prophet’s Grand Mosque there.
Anyway, In the end, like Shakespeare says, All’s well that ends well!
